I advise not using Firma, it was a terrible experience for us. There are much better companies out there!! We have used quite a few but firma were the worst service by far. It may be down to the staff member we had but we didn't stay around to try more since we had lost well in excess of 100,000 with his pressure selling, calling late in Friday's saying we should buy as the rate had a high chance of going down. The sales staff are just bothered about getting you to buy as much as possible on forward contracts. They don't seem to use a system where they that take a certain % commission, when I asked for the exchange rates and what we were charged from the previous year I was told some bull story about it not being possible to send me the info.. I now use Moneycorp because they have an online platform so you are not being pressured into buying what you need by a sales person, buy what you need when you need it. You can still call if you want to ask them anything. They also have great rates.

I have delt with Firma many years service has been excellent biggest problem is risking your money with them some times payments are made in sterling in exchange for euro or us dollars on several occasions we have paid sterling across & the currency is not returned this week we have a payment friday pm which meant value date monday despite numerous requests firma defaulted on payment they took our money but to this minute have not paid currency across we have requested several times immediate refund of sterling or send currency as contracted despite numerous calls to no avail; they tell me they cant refund or indeed action a duplicate payment this would be classed as an error or indeed theft not sure of interpretation Brexit has been blamed funny that as we do not have any brexit as yet ?? / I HAVE TO SAY I HAVE DELT WITH PAULA MANY YEARS, SHE HAD BEEN AN EXCELLENT SERVANT & ALWAYS GIVES HER MOST, SHE WAS LET DOWN BY BACK OFFICE/ C DEPARTMENT IN CHARGE OF PAYMENTS * EVENTUALLY PAYMENT ARRIVED WEDNESDAY 3 DAYS LATE LEAVING A/C WITH BARCLAYS LOCKED OUT. * MY MAIN GRIPES > THE FOLLOWING 1 : why did it take until pm tuesday to make contact with us 2 : FIRMA WERE WELL AWARE OF THE ERROR THEY MADE THEIR END ON THE MONDAY, HAVING USED WRONG SWIFT CODE <CONFIRMED BY BARCLAYS quoted the old SWIFT (BARCGB22 3 : ANDREW INTHE LONDON OFFICE DID EVENTUALLY CONFIRM PAYMENT COMING 4 : REPEAT MAIN GRIPE FIRMA, KNEW PAYMENT WAS DONE WRONG MONDAY, SO THEY SHOULD HAVE SENT AN IMMEDIATE NEW PAYMENT, KNOWING ORIGINAL WOULD BOUNCE BACK THEY FAILED TO DO SO & THIS IS THE REASON FOR MAJOR STRESS
